At History Catchers LLC, we work with elders and their families to assemble and create their own multimedia historical legacies. Our goal is to capture and digitally preserve the insight, substance and perspective of those who have the greatest timeline of life experiences to share.

Through in-person interviews and family dialogues, we gather recounted memories on video, in the client’s preferred setting. In editing, we pair the video content with multimedia – treasured photo images, printed mementos and detailed captions – to bring narrated stories to life.
For the camera-shy, we offer high quality audio recording
Through in-person interviews and family dialogues, we gather recounted memories on video, in the client’s preferred setting. In editing, we pair the video content with multimedia – treasured photo images, printed mementos and detailed captions – to bring narrated stories to life.
For the camera-shy, we offer high quality audio recording as an alternative. This option allows the same inclusion of photos and captions as does a video session. We can also transcribe your story to print or digital file, if written content is desired.

We help you structure the topics & content of your biography in advance. We capture & include any photos or memorabilia you wish to describe in conversation, and we handle every technical detail, from cameras & mics to lighting & design.
In the playback format you prefer, we then arrange, edit and produce a life story heirloom that your loved ones will treasure: the documentary of you.

Born & raised in North Dakota, I've called Fargo home for about thirty years. Working professionally in customer service & finance during that time, a lifetime love of history, family memory and photo collection was once only a hobby for me.
In 2023, a special collaborative volunteer project began. Over time, it captured sixteen video interviews of fascinating friends and family. As their favorite photos, newspaper clippings and mementos were gathered in the process, the interviews became keepsake mini-biographies. Word got out, and the project identified a service need: every family has precious histories like these to preserve for loved ones and for younger generations.
History Catchers LLC was founded in 2024 as a dedicated resource for families & individuals who have irreplaceable memories to share. A curated, personal documentary is not only a gift for someone you love and long to remember. It is also a legacy for others who love that someone, and for their offspring, too.
